Lambeau Field
Our first trip to Lambeau Field and a Green Bay Packer game was in 2011. It was Christmas Day, we had only been dating for 3 months when we took the 15-hour road trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin. My future husband was a Packer fan just like me, what are the odds of that happening! I was born and raised in Wisconsin but he was from North Carolina! I took this as a sign from God! so, we loaded up the car and headed on our road trip, from North Carolina to Wisconsin.
You can’t imagine how exciting it is to be in Lambeau field when you have loved the Packers forever! We had purchased perfect tickets on the 50-yard line. The sights and sounds of being at the game in person are amazing! We barely noticed that the temperature was below freezing, Brrrr! You are packed into your seats so tightly that you are immediately best friends with everyone around you, that is unless they are Bear fans! The Packer fans are the best! Everyone cheers loudly and there are “high-fives” all around when they get a first down or score. During the game, we try to make as much noise as possible to distract the other team.
The Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers take the field against the Chicago Bears. As you can see, our seats were great! We were so lucky to find these tickets, I think we bought them on eBay. We took a big risk that he was an honest seller! Everything turned our great for us!
The Packers and the Bears on the 50-yard line. The Bears don’t have a chance!
In this photo, you can see how close the bench seats are to each other. The numbered seats, 15, 16, and 17 are just inches apart! There are always plenty of Cheeseheads in the stands! I own one myself, although, I did not wear it to the game. I admit it would be nice to have individual seats, like some other stadiums, have. Maybe someday, I will be able to sit in premium club seating at Lambeau.
Stadium Food
You could purchase the normal types of stadium food; hamburgers, hot dogs, soda pop(yes, I said soda pop), nachos, beer, and brats. The only thing I care about is a brat in a bun with brown mustard and maybe sauerkraut. YUM! Of course, the beer was flowing, part of being at a game is the risk of getting beer spilled on you, even though, Terry and I are not drinkers. It’s ok though, everything is worth it to experience the game live at Lambeau field!
It’s not easy to travel with someone you have only known for 3 months, but for us, it was a perfect trip! It sealed the deal, we were meant for each other! We were married 2 months later!
Have you visited any NFL stadiums? I would love to hear about it! Please leave a comment and share this post on your social media pages. I appreciate it!
